Living Room & Bedroom Styling

Styling is what turns a furnished room into a finished one: colour, textiles, lighting, artwork and the arrangement of furniture working together.

How we help

We create a unified scheme, from wall colour to cushions, so the room feels complete and unmistakably yours.

The challenge

Rooms can feel unfinished when furniture, colour, textiles and lighting have been added piece by piece without a plan.

What this can include

  • Mood and palette direction
  • Furniture, textile and lighting selection
  • Styling and finishing guidance

Planning notes: living room & bedroom styling

  1. Anchor the room with one decision

A sofa, a bed or a rug usually sets the palette. Choose that first and build the rest around it.

  2. Mix textures, not only colours

Linen, wood, wool and metal add depth to a restrained palette without adding clutter.

  3. Get the scale right

Rugs, artwork and lamps that are too small make a room look unfinished. Larger pieces usually look calmer.

  4. Light the room for the evening

Warm, low lamps make living rooms and bedrooms feel restful after dark.

Common questions

  • Can you style a room using furniture I already have?

Tell us what you want to keep, and we will plan the colours, textiles and lighting around it.

  • Do I need to repaint or replace everything?

Not necessarily. Small, well-chosen changes such as lighting, textiles and the arrangement of furniture often make the biggest difference.

  • What should I send with my enquiry?

Photos of the room from two corners, the approximate size, and any images of rooms you like.
